Is it normal for my A4’s transmission to feel different after a software update?

So I took my 2017 A4 2.0 TFSI to the dealership last week for a routine service, and they mentioned there was a software update available for the transmission control module so they went ahead and installed it. I didn’t think much of it at the time, but ever since I got the car back, the transmission feels noticeably different than before. The shifts seem smoother in some ways, but there’s also a slight delay when I press the accelerator from a stop that wasn’t there before, almost like the gearbox is taking a moment to think before it responds. It’s not a huge difference, but it’s definitely noticeable and I’m still trying to decide if I like it or not. I’m wondering if this is just my perception because I’m expecting it to feel different, or if the software update has actually changed the shift mapping and behavior. I’ve been reading online and it seems like transmission software updates can change quite a lot about how the gearbox behaves, from shift points to throttle response to clutch engagement timing. I found a site called auditransmissionrepair.ae/ that has some technical articles about how these updates work, and it seems like what I’m experiencing might be completely normal. I guess I’m just curious if anyone else has had a transmission software update on their A4 and noticed a difference in how the car drives. Did it take some time for the gearbox to relearn your driving style, or did the update permanently change the character of the car? I’m not necessarily complaining, it’s still perfectly drivable, I’m just trying to understand what’s actually changed and whether I need to do anything to help the adaptation process.
